Answer: While transportation services are not provided directly, our compassionate staff is available to assist in making transportation arrangements through third-party companies.

8. How does the enrollment process work?

Answer: The enrollment process begins with a brief assessment. Necessary paperwork includes a form from the guest's primary care physician, a current TB test or chest x-ray, an Emergency Contact form, medication authorization, and a Personal History Form. Payment of the deposit is required before services begin. While there is no formal contract, each family is asked to sign a Service Agreement outlining detailed policies.

9. What happens if I can't attend due to illness, travel, or other reasons?

Answer: Life happens, and we understand. If you can't attend, please contact the Center as soon as possible. Canceling by noon of the day before your scheduled day incurs no charges. Cancellations made by 9:00 am of your scheduled day are charged at 50% of the rate for the day(s) missed. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged for the day(s) missed.

10. How does payment work?

Answer: Statements are sent on the first business day of the month for the previous month's charges. We encourage electronic statements and prefer pre-authorized direct debit from a checking or savings account. All accounts must be paid in full by the 10th of the month to avoid additional fees. If pre-authorized direct debit is not feasible, we accept cash or check payments weekly.

11. Is there any financial assistance for this service?

Answer: Understanding the financial aspects of adult day services, Still Waters offers various payment options, including third-party payment through Medicaid Waivers, CHOICE, the VA Community Care Network, long-term care insurance, and a special scholarship fund.

Answer: Still Waters is closed on specific holidays, including New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

13. Do you close for severe weather?

Answer: In the event of severe weather, call the Center for updated information. The voice mail message will be updated by 6:30 am. In some cases, the Center may open on an abbreviated schedule (2-hour delay). There is no charge if the Center is closed due to severe weather or other emergencies.
